It’s just turned March 30th in Japan and that marks the release of the 7th and final Blu-Ray/DVD of Charlotte! Have you guys been looking forward to it? Because we sure have! Volume 7 contains the final episode, episode 13, along with a brand-new, never-before-aired OVA, entitled “Tsuyoi Monotachi” (The Strong Ones). This volume’s cover features Yuu, as he is at the end of the final episode, along with Nao, happy to have him return from his long journey.

As with all the other BDs, Volume 7 of the Blu-ray/DVD release contains the box with exclusive art (as shown above), a digipak disc case, a screenplay for episode 13 and the OVA, a special booklet with sheet music for Kimi no Moji, and a disc containing a compilation of the weekly Charlotte radio. And, of course, the disc containing episode 13 and the OVA, which features a brand-new character!

According to the short description of the episode from the back of the BD/DVD, this character, Iori Sekiguchi (name not confirmed) has the power to read other people’s minds and thus lives a life away from people. How will the student council confront this character? Well, you’re going to have to pick up the BD/DVD to find out! If you still haven’t picked it up, you can get it from CDJapan (BD/DVD) or Play-Asia(BD/DVD). And if you have already received it and watched the episode, what did you think? Let us know in our episode discussion topic!

It’s been a long journey, but the release of Volume 7 and the OVA marks the end of the Charlotte franchise. While there may have been countless opinions on the series as a whole, I’m confident in saying that a good number of people enjoyed it. We can only hope that your pizza sauce was not too sweet.
