The countdown has concluded, and the new Rewrite project has been revealed as the Social RPG “Rewrite IgnisMemoria”! The official website has been updated with heaps of details and a promotional video.
The game will be releasing on Android and iOS, and features the cast of Rewrite battling together against hoards of enemies using a variety of skills in a turn-based RPG format. Players can compose their team of any three characters they wish and power them up with cards granting them abilities to use in battle. Cards are acquired through a randomised gacha system by use of aurora gems; the game’s form of premium currency which can be obtained in-game or through microtransactions. The game features an original story which plays out through battles and visual novel segments, as well as a room from Kotori’s atelier which players can customise with furniture, which we expect will provide bonuses to the player. The game’s theme song is titled ‘Ignis Memory’, featuring vocals by Maon Kurosaki, lyrics by Kai and composition by Shinji Orito! You can get a listen of the song in the PV above.
You can express your interest in the game by pre-registering here. If enough people pre-register, all new users will receive a Creamy☆Kagarin to use in-game at launch, along with some bonus aurora gems! For more information check out forumer Rabla’s guide.
A Twitter campaign is also being held, from which you’ll be able to win a signboard signed by one of the voice cast of Rewrite! To enter, just follow the @rewrite_im on Twitter and Retweet this designated tweet. After that, you’ll go in the running and winners will be contacted via Direct Message on the 7th of January 2017. They can only send them to Japanese postal addresses though, so be sure to prepare one if you plan on entering!
It’s unlikely that this will receive an English localisation, but that doesn’t mean you can’t join the fun! We’ve prepared a topic on the forum from which we’ll use to speculate and talk about the game, and assist each other in navigating the game’s Japanese interface. Since it’s a social game, you can expect lots of benefits from playing with friends, so we at Kazamatsuri hope to foster an English-language community for this game, and we’d love to see you join us! So be sure to hop on the topic and let us know if you’d be interested in playing once it launches!
It’s been about a year since Key’s last mobage, and it’s looking to be the most ambitious yet, so we’re pretty excited to get our hands on it! Rewrite IgnisMemoria is due to be released this Winter.
