As promised earlier this week, the Steam Greenlight Page for Key’s upcoming visual novel Harmonia has launched! Steam Greenlight is a service for publishers new to Steam looking to publish their games on the platform, which presents the title for the public to determine whether it should be published or not. By visiting the page and clicking the “Yes” I would buy it button, you’ll be supporting VisualArts and hopefully enable the title to be published on Steam, so be sure to do so if you’d like to see Harmonia on Steam in English before anywhere else in the world!
It’s worth noting that this title is being published not by Sekai Project as previously with planetarian and CLANNAD, but this time by VisualArt’s themselves, much like the oft-overlooked iOS release of planetarian. Since this is their first time releasing a title on Steam independent of Sekai Project, they are forced to go through the Steam Greenlight process to publish it. Now might be the best opportunity to let VisualArt’s know what you think of their decision to publish the title independently, and what you think of the previews they’ve given us so far. You can contact them through their Official Facebook, and they might even be paying attention to the comments on the Greenlight page. What do you think of their offering at this point in time? Are you glad to see them operate independently of Sekai Project, or would you rather they continue working together? Feel free to let us know what you think of the situation of the Steam release in the discussion below.
