The CLANNAD Official English Release Kickstarter has ended, with a total of $551,881 raised from 5,997 backers! Considering the final stretch goal was at $380k, this is an outstanding achievement! I almost wish there were more stretch goals the money could’ve gone toward, ahaha.

And also, I’d personally like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this Kickstarter. Together, you’re all helping prove to Key that there is a market for their games in the west, which will hopefully ensure future releases of more of Key’s games to the western markets in the future! And thank you to Sekai Project for making this all possible. On behalf of Kazamatsuri.org, we wish you all the best of luck throughout the localisation process and beyond!
But this is only the beginning. Soon backers will be asked what addons they’d like to add to their pledge, so there’s every chance the total amount will increase much more by the end! We’ll continue to cover the progress of the localisation affort as news emerges, and once the game is released, we trust you’ll all help spread the word about CLANNAD in order to help it succeed into the future! As a community, this will be Kazamatsuri.org’s most important mission yet.
